Hello,
The beauty of the wetlands has led to a longtime vision to relocate the City's Corporation Yard from 205 Wetlands Edge Road to the Water Reclamation Facility at 151 Mezzetta Court. Recently, the American Canyon Community and Parks Foundation (ACCPF) offered to spearhead an exciting effort to re-purpose the Corporation Yard into an Eco-Center. The ACCPF is a local non-profit with an unmatched track-record of fundraising and delivering successful projects and initiatives for the community.

Proposed Eco Center Rendering
The idea for an Eco Center will need community feedback and fundraising support. So, this project will be a true example of community teamwork. As a starting point, ideas for the Eco Center include an indoor interpretative, recreation center with classrooms and multipurpose rooms to support programming and exhibits (watershed protection/ education, wetlands habitat/biology). Space for vendor sales (deli/gifts) and rentals (bike/kayak) is another possibility.
We would like to hear from you on Eco Center possibilities! Please join us for a workshop on Tuesday, October 12th, 6:30 PM, to see ACCPF's presentation of the proposed project and join in the discussion via Zoom at https://zoom.us/join.

Sincerely,
Jason B. Holley City Manager
