Project Update as of April 13, 2021
The paving operations for James Road is scheduled to begin on Thursday, April 15, 2021. This work, the last major disruptive piece of the project to the community, will last for approximately seven days.
The unforeseen field conditions which caused delays to this project were related to the full-depth reclamation base compressive strength, which was tested throughout the process. When lower than desired results came in, we faced a delay in continuing the project while we confirmed the results and then adjusted how to best proceed. We were able to re-design the pavement section to solve this issue, and can now confidently proceed with the final phase of this project.
We will provide immediate updates if there are any changes to this schedule.
