February 11, 2021
Hello,
In honor of Black History Month, please check out this amazing video entitled "American Canyon Collection of Voices." It features community leaders reciting passages from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s renowned "I Have a Dream" speech in such a creative and poignant fashion. The speech - delivered on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., in August 1963 - is one of the most famous and influential public addresses ever given. American Canyon's diversity and inclusiveness are values we cherish. Our leaders giving voice to Dr. King's beautiful words are a fitting tribute to our community.
Also, please save the date for our Virtual 2021 State of the City Presentation. The event will take place on Tuesday, February 23rd, at 6:30 pm. Please join me, Napa County Public Health Officer, Dr. Karen Relucio, new Fire Chief Mike Cahill, Supervisor Belia Ramos, and Chamber of Commerce President Valerie Zizak-Morais as we recap 2020 and look forward to this year.
Take care and stay safe.
Jason Holley City Manager

Construction Alert for Wetlands Edge Trailhead
As a part of the New Napa Junction Elementary School construction, Napa Valley Unified School District's contractor will be installing underground utilities and storm drain in the intersection of Wetlands Edge Road and Eucalyptus Drive. The contractor will also install utilities up to the Bay Trail to the point at which the decomposed granite (DG) path reconnects to the Bay Trail.
The work will take place from Tuesday, February 16, 2021, through March 31, 2021. Traffic impacts will range from flaggers for one-lane traffic to detours around the intersection. Pedestrian impacts will require a detour from the sidewalk on Wetlands Edge Road along the parking lot's sidewalk, through the DG path at the back of the parking area, and back up to the paved walking path on the Bay Trail. Parking lot impacts will include intermittent closures. The parking lot will be closed when the contractor works in the intersection. When the parking lot is open, vehicles will experience delays at the entrance/exit when the contractor moves equipment or supplies in the area. Questions or concerns about this project? Contact: spc@nvusd.org or (707) 253-6281.
Find details about projects going on around town at our Construction Updates Webpage.
