Happy New Year!
2021 is already shaping up to be an exciting year in American Canyon. Our community continues to grow and thrive. Work will soon begin on the first phase of the Watson Ranch Subdivision, the first new single-family homes built in American Canyon in many years.
Several new projects are in the initial stages of review and presented to the Planning Commission in the coming months. To learn more about these projects, check out the Active Planning Projects List Update for January.
While City Hall remains closed to in-person services, building permits and other services are available through our Virtual City Hall. You can submit plans and permit applications entirely online. As always, our staff is still available to answer questions and help guide you through the process. Please call (707) 647-4348 or email permittech@cityofamericancanyon.org if you need assistance.
Please stay safe, be kind, and remember to wear your mask.
Brent Cooper, AICP Community Development Director

BurgerIM
The long-awaited BurgerIM restaurant near Safeway is closer to opening! Located in the former Country Creamery shop at 101 West American Canyon Drive, Suite 512, the restaurant received its final building inspection last week. Now it's just up to the operator to open the doors to hungry customers. Give or take an onion ring or two; the American Canyon store will be BurgerIM's 100th store. If you would like to know why BurgerIM is special, check out their blog here.

Under Review: Rotten Robbie Fuel Station
In December, Robinson Oil Company submitted an application for a Rotten Robbie fuel station. Located at the northwest corner of Donaldson Way and Highway 29 (Broadway), the project envisions eight fueling stations, a 4,800 square feet convenience store, a car wash, and three truck-fueling positions on 2.3 acres. A nearly 1-acre western portion of the property is intended as a future retail store phase. The project is early in the review, and we welcome your comments and questions. For more information, please contact William He, Associate Planner, at whe@cityofamericancanyon.org.

Giovannoni Logistics Center
In November, Buzz Oates Construction submitted an application for a 208-acre Logistics Center north of Green Island Road. The project would preserve 47 acres as open space. Devlin Road would be extended approximately 3,000 lineal feet from Green Island Road to Middleton Way (Napa Logistics Park), closing a gap in the City’s roadway network. Phase 1 includes two new high cube warehouses totaling almost 1.1 million square feet on the east side of Devlin Road. Phase 2 contemplates 1.3 million square feet of high cube warehouse development on the west side of Devlin Road.
The City will prepare an Environmental Impact Report for this project. A virtual public scoping meeting will be held at 3pm, Tuesday, February 2, 2021:
https://zoom.us/join
Meeting ID: 923 4379 6808
Passcode: 866833
Phone: (408) 638-0968
At this meeting, agencies, organizations, and members of the public will be able to review the proposed project and provide comments on the scope of the environmental review process.
