American Canyon Welcomes New Finance Director Lincoln Bogard
AMERICAN CANYON, Calif., December 9, 2020 – On Monday, December 7, 2020, the City of American Canyon welcomed Lincoln Bogard, an experienced finance professional and public servant, as the City’s new Finance Director. “Despite these challenging times, American Canyon continues to be a magnet for rising stars in local government. Lincoln has an impressive set of skills and a strong educational background, but most importantly, he is a dedicated public servant with years of experience in local government finance,” said American Canyon City Manager Jason Holley. “He is a welcome addition to our team, and I look forward to his leadership in our Finance Department.”
Bogard most recently served as a senior accounting manager and deputy auditor controller for the County of Sacramento, where he led multiple teams in the department of finance and managed the preparation of key financial documents, including the County’s annual comprehensive financial report. His former experience includes finance-related positions at the Superior Court of California in the County of San Bernardino, the City of Berkley, and several private sector agencies.
“I’m honored to have been selected for the position,” said Bogard. “The City has a strong finance department with sound fiscal management in place, and I’m eager to get to work and help the City continue to meet its financial goals.”
Bogard became a licensed certified public accountant in 2010 and a licensed certified fraud examiner in 2014. He received a Masters of Science in Accountancy from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science in business with an emphasis in Corporate Finance from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
