There are currently no fires in American Canyon. American Canyon is not under any evacuation orders at this time.

You may have just received an emergency Extreme Fire Alert on your mobile. Please know that this is in reference to the Glass Fire currently burning in North County. This alert was sent to residents county-wide.

For current fire and weather information, please refer back to our recent message below.

There are currently no fires in American Canyon, and we are safe from the fires affecting other portions of Napa County. The AC Fire Protection District is staffed and ready to respond to any emergencies in American Canyon. We'll keep seeing a lot of smoke and ash from the fires to our north (https://www.countyofnapa.org/2994/Glass-Fire). Please do not call 911 unless you see flames.

HEAT
  • A Heat Advisory will be in effect today. With extreme heat comes a risk for heat-related illness, especially for vulnerable groups, including children and seniors. Learn how to prevent heat-related illness on our extreme heat webpage.  
  • A Spare the Air Alert has been issued through Friday, due to smoke impacts from the Glass Fire and other fires outside the Bay Area. Take steps to limit exposure to the outside air. Get tips and more information about air quality and your health at https://www.airnow.gov/air-quality-and-health/fires-and-your-health/.
  • 🔌 A Statewide Flex Alert, a call for voluntary electricity conservation, will be in effect from 3-10 PM today. Visit https://www.flexalert.org/ for more information and tips on how you can help keep the power on. If rotating outages are needed, PG&E will post information at www.pge.com/rotatingoutages and alert customers if ordered by CAISO to turn off the power.
