On Wednesday, April 22, 2020, the County of Napa extended the Shelter at Home Order first issued on March 18, 2020. The order is now in effect until otherwise amended or rescinded to protect the health and well-being of all Napa County residents to slow the spread of COVID-19. The City of American Canyon hopes the following resources from our Virtual City Hall will inform and update our residents.

Shelter at Home

• People should only leave their
  homes for essential needs and
  limit interactions with people
  outside of their immediate
  family unit
• Continue to maintain six feet or more distance from others at all times
• The County recommends wearing cloth face coverings while in public settings

What should I do

if I feel sick?

• Symptoms may include fever, cough, shortness of breath and sore throat.
• Do not go to the emergency department or your doctor's office. Call your doctor and ask for advice.
• Please note: Testing is limited at this time in Napa County
• If you have symptoms of COVID-19 and don't have health insurance, contact the Napa County information by email or call (707) 253-4540.

How can I safely volunteer?

• Deliver meals with Meals on Wheels
• Donate to shelter or food bank
• Volunteer at a food bank
• Support nonprofits
• Donate blood
• Check on your older neighbors
• Create hygiene kits and
  drop them off at a shelter
  for people experiencing homelessness
