Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) The American Canyon Firefighters are taking all recommended precautions to ensure we minimize our risk of exposure to COVID-19. The District is fully staffed and operational. Continue to call 911 when you have an emergency. Please consult your doctor if you believe you may have COVID-19 unless you are experiencing life-threatening symptoms. If you call 911, please answer the questions as accurately as possible so that we can provide you with the best care available. The dispatchers may also ask you a few additional questions regarding your symptoms. When we arrive, you may see us looking a bit different from our standard uniform. Please do not be alarmed; this is an added level of personal protective equipment (PPE) to keep you and us safe. Please follow all recommendations from the CDC. Thank you for your cooperation.

Thank YOU to the Community!
The District would like to recognize and thank Jan Kuhl, who is a member of American Canyon’s Community Response Team (ACCERT). She jumped into action and made nearly 200 cloth face coverings. She has provided the face covers to ACCERT members and Kaiser Vallejo (over 150). Jan is a valuable member of our community, and we are truly grateful! Thank you, Jan!!

The District would also like to recognize and thank Molly Silcox from Nostalgia of Napa! When the District called and requested if she could provide the firefighters with cloth face coverings, she did not hesitate. She made them within one day. Thank you, Molly, for keeping our firefighters safe!
The District would also like to thank Hanson of Sonoma Distillery for producing much-needed hand sanitizer. Thank you for helping to keep our firefighters’ hands sanitized.

In March, the District mailed Self Inspection forms to businesses that are statistically at a lower risk from fire. If your business received this form, please follow the instructions provided while you walk the premises of your business and record the responses. This process should only take a few minutes and help you better understand the potential safety hazards. You may also complete the document online by clicking here. If you have any questions, please call (707) 551-0650 or email lprovencher@amcanfire.com. Please complete the form by April 15, 2020.
