Lead Safety for Renovation, Repair and Painting Training
The EPA’s Lead-Based Paint Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule aims to protect the public from lead-based paint hazards associated with renovation, repair and painting activities. Under the RRP Rule, firms performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, apartments, childcare facilities, other child-occupied facilities built before 1978 must be EPA RRP certified. This includes contractors, rental property owners, maintenance companies, handymen, electricians, painters, plumbers and others. Under state law, pre-1978 homes are presumed to have lead-based paint and lead safe work practices are required. Whether you need certification or just an expanded working knowledge of lead-safe work practices, please make plans to join us:
