Greetings from Supervisor Haubert

Dear District 1,

As we begin to see the weather cool down and the colors of Fall emerge, I would like to share some updates with you all. I invite you to explore this newsletter to learn more about upcoming and past events.

Approaching the election season, I strongly encourage you all to exercise your right to vote. Whether you plan to vote by mail or in person, the impact of your voice in elections makes a huge difference in shaping policies that directly affect the community.

If you are voting in person, here is a link to the Alameda County Registrar of Voters website to find a list of voting centers near you, as well as when they will be open.

As always, if there is anything that my office can do to assist you regarding County-specific matters, please feel free to reach out at bosdist1@acgov.org

Sincerely,

fosterfamily

Resource Parents are in need of your support. I am proud to partner with District 2 Supervisor Elisa Marquez to wrap around these families with more support, resources, and champions. We are reaching out to ask you for your partnership in supporting Foster Families in our community by providing support services.

Are you interested in learning more about supporting a Foster Child and/or their Resource Parent/s in our districts? We are hosting a Foster Family Support Network Town Hall on October 30th in Union City and hope you can join to learn more. During the town hall, we will have representatives from Alameda County Child & Family Services and local non-profits that serve Foster Youth/Families to answer any questions you have. If you are interested in joining this initiative please RSVP here. In addition, please take a quick survey by clicking here.

Ice Cream Social for AC Health

collageicecreamsocial

On September 25th, my team and I had the pleasure of providing ice cream for all of the attendees at the "All Hands on Health" conference held at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. This all-staff conference brought together the incredible individuals who work tirelessly to support Alameda County Health and the wellbeing of our community.

I am so grateful for the amazing work that the Alameda County Health staff members do. It was an absolute joy to meet all of the dedicated professionals during the ice cream social.

Their commitment and dedication to service makes a big difference in the lives of residents. I look forward to continue working together and improving the health of District 1.

38th Annual Top Hat Gala

Washington Hospital Healthcare System 38th Annual Top Hat gala to raise funds for a state-of-the-art MRI for the Fremont II Trauma center was a great success.

With a beautiful setting and Italian themed inspiration, community members, local business owners, philanthropists, and partners contributed for continued support of WHHS who provide new procedures that patients previously had to leave the community to receive.
