Dear District 1,
Greetings and Happy Thanksgiving! As we commence the holiday season with sentiments of gratitude and joy permeating our homes, I hope my message finds you in good health. Around these eventful months, surrounded by our dearest friends and family, we acknowledge our blessings and ruminate on all that has contributed to our well-being and happiness.
Among the plethora of relationships, opportunities, and privileges I am thankful for, my appreciation for you – my constituents – remains distinct and difficult to overstate. Whether it is small businesses serving local communities, non-profit organizations tackling the many challenges afflicting the disadvantaged, or working-class residents providing critical services, your presence is felt across our District. I deeply appreciate your constant involvement and support.
As always, if there is anything that my office can do to assist you regarding County-specific matters, please feel free to reach out at bosdist1@acgov.org.
Sincerely,
David Haubert Alameda County Supervisor District 1

Pleasanton Farmers Market Community Outreach
It was a pleasure to visit the Pleasanton Farmers Market with our interns and staff last weekend. We conducted surveys that examined your perspectives on the myriad issues impacting our community. Interacting with constituents is always delightful, and tabling at the farmers market provided an engaging opportunity to understand your viewpoints. Greeting the individuals representing our region’s agricultural sector, while experiencing the lively atmosphere of the Farmers Market, was amazing. I encourage all to attend and say hi, and to promote locally sourced goods.
TVAQCA Air Cleaner Build Event
In collaboration with the Tri-Valley Air Quality Climate Alliance (TVAQCA), my intern team organized a successful air filter build event! Carbon emissions negatively impact numerous citizens who lack adequate home ventilation, and through this commendable effort, over 50 air filters were distributed. Raising awareness about the detrimental effects of poor air quality is also critical to protecting our environment. Organizations like the TVAQCA are essential for ensuring citizen health and maintaining the vitality of the Tri-Valley’s natural surroundings.
Join SOS Meals on Wheels!
Earlier this week, I visited Service Opportunity for Seniors (SOS) Meals on Wheels, a non-profit with the objective of eliminating food insecurity for senior residents. Learning more about their mission was inspiring, as creating meaningful connections is a part of this organization’s overarching goal. Delivering over 1,800 meals daily, Meals on Wheel’s role in embedding a sense of emotional support in elderly citizens is truly admirable. Click here to volunteer!
Holiday Toy & Food Drive 2023
Join us for our upcoming Holiday Toy & Food Drive! Spread the joy of the season by contributing non-perishable food items and unwrapped toys. Together, let's make a difference in the lives of those in need. Your generosity will help create brighter holidays for families in our community. Drop off your donations at the Heritage House and be a part of spreading love and kindness this holiday season.
