Property Line Disputes (But With Relational Priority)

Virtual MCLE Event
Wednesday, April 19, 2023
12:00pm – 1:00pm

1 hour participatory MCLE credit
No-cost, free event

Program Description

An approach to resolving common neighbor disputes while emphasizing the high value of relationships. We will look into the ethical tension that exists when attorneys step away from “zealous advocacy” and employ non-adversarial techniques. We will also look at the role that property boundary uncertainty plays in exacerbating other common neighbor conflicts. Finally, we will look at suggested best practices for attorneys involved in these types of matters.

About the Speaker

Paul Mabry, Esq., PLS, is a uniquely experienced professional in land law and land development. Since becoming an attorney in 2013, he has focused on the legal side of land use, brownfield redevelopment and transactional real estate. Prior to 2013, Paul spent more than a decade as an engineering professional. He brings both technical abilities and his passion for discovering win-win legal solutions to his clients. About half of Paul’s clients are involved in some form of neighbor dispute, most involving trouble with land descriptions or property line location.
