March 25, 2022

Dear District 1,

With solemnity, I recognize the Russian invasion of Ukraine has brought immense suffering and uncertainty to our communities and the world abroad. Now more than ever, prayer must play an important role in our lives. As such, I invite you to attend the 2022 District 1 National Day of Prayer Event. On May 5th, East Bay religious leaders will join our community in prayer for our Nation's leaders. You may attend in-person, or on zoom or Facebook Live. See event flyer below for more details.

As always, if there is anything that my office can do to assist you regarding County-specific matters, please feel free to reach out at bosdist1@acgov.org

I was proud to commend the Tri-Valley Haven at the ribbon cutting ceremony for their new food pantry! Tri-Valley Haven is a vital community organization that serves adults and children who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, or homelessness.

Located at 150 N L Street in Livermore, the Tri-Valley Haven Food Pantry distributes free groceries to low-income Tri-Valley residents.

Global Radio App Launch

With much excitement, radio Mirchi launched their global app connecting much of California to reach worldwide, especially programs in India. I was pleased to commend radio Mirchi for connecting the Fremont community to global radio, allowing the expat community the ability to enjoy nostalgic shows, current time business, live music and cultural events.
