COVID-19 Updates
The Alameda County District Attorney recently shared a scam alert encouraging residents to be aware of fraudulent COVID-19 pop-up testing sites. If you aren't sure of a testing site’s legitimacy, remember that LESS is more and get tested at a county/city-affiliated testing site or through medical groups. You can find verified testing sites at: https://covid-19.acgov.org/testing.
Legal: Test kits have received FDA emergency use authorization. Testing sites do not need your social security number or immigration status.
Ethical: Your test should be free, affordable or billable to insurance. Any additional cost should be clearly explained.
Safe: Staff wear medical grade protective equipment. Gloves are worn and changed in-between clients. Testing staff implements COVID-19 protocols including distancing.
Secure: Testing site and lab information are available, and you should know how your personal information will be used.

February 12: COVID-19 Vaccine
Pop-Up Clinic in San Lorenzo
The Regional Pacific Islander Taskforce, in partnership with ACPHD, is hosting a pop-up COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 10 am – 3 pm at the San Lorenzo Community Church (945 Paseo Grande, San Lorenzo, CA). The clinic will offer 1st & 2nd doses of Pfizer (ages 5+) and boosters for Pfizer (12+), Moderna (18+), and Johnson & Johnson (18+). COVID-19 testing is also available.
A prepaid $50 debit card will be gifted to 5-17 year olds who receive either their first or second Pfizer dose (boosters are not included) while supplies last. Care packages are available to everyone who gets vaccinated while supplies last.

The Regional Pacific Islander Taskforce also offers testing at the San Lorenzo Community Church every Friday from 10 am – 4 pm and every Saturday from 10 am – 2 pm.

Our Registrar of Voters (ROV) is hiring temporary workers for the upcoming 2022 elections. Depending on the position, the pay ranges from $24.14 to $25.65 per hour.

Contracting Opportunities
There are several contracting opportunities in goods, services, and construction currently available with the County, including for AB109 direct services, senior nutrition and employment services, multilingual interpretation services, and legal defense representation services. COVID-19 Vaccination & Testing Resources in Alameda County
State, county, and other health care partners are offering COVID-19 vaccination clinics throughout Alameda County. Visit ACPHD's COVID-19 vaccine page for more information.
Testing is free and available to anyone with or without symptoms at all community testing sites in Alameda County. You will not be asked about immigration status and do not need insurance at any of these locations.
