Visit ACPHD's COVID-19 vaccine page for more information Additional Vaccination Resources: Voting in the September 14 Recall ElectionNext Tuesday, September 14, 2021 is the California Gubernatorial Recall Election. In compliance with COVID-19 guidelines, the Alameda County Registrar of Voters has mailed all voters a mail-in ballot and will be operating 100 Accessible Voting Locations (AVL) throughout Alameda County, which any voter can visit. To find an AVL near you, please see the ROV's Accessible Voting Locations List or look up the nearest AVL on the ROV's Interactive Map. Accessible Voting Locations will open for voting on Saturday, September 11th, and stay open until and on Election Day Tuesday, September 14th.
You can also return your mail-in ballot in an official Alameda County 24-Hour Ballot Drop Box. Ballots must be delivered before 8 PM on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. To find an official drop box near you, please visit the ROV's Vote By Mail Drop Box map. If you are returning your ballot by mail, it must be postmarked by Tuesday, September 14, 2021. San Lorenzo Library Drive Through Voting EventSan Lorenzo Library and the Registrar of Voters are pleased to announce Drive Through Voting Events, also known as Ballot Drop Stops, for the 2021 Gubernatorial Recall Election. Simply drive up to the Registrar of Voters booth in front of the San Lorenzo Library (395 Paseo Grande) on September 8 and 9, 2021 from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm and hand your completed ballot to Registrar of Voters staff – it’s that easy! The Library also has a 24-hour ballot drop box in front of the building. The drop box is emptied daily. Alameda County Arts Commission’s Call for ArtistsThe Alameda County Arts Commission invites visual artists to submit an application to the new Alameda County Artist Registry, a prequalified list of artists that will be used for upcoming public art opportunities managed by the Alameda County Arts Commission. Request for Proposals - Alameda County Homekey HotelsThe Alameda County Housing & Community Development (HCD) Department has re-issued the Request for Proposals (RFP) for the rehabilitation and operation of Homekey Hotels formerly known as Comfort Inn and Days Hotel. The developer selected through this process will rehab and operate the buildings as permanent supportive housing for people experiencing homelessness under a 55-year regulatory agreement. Both properties are in Oakland near the Oakland Airport. The RFP is available on the HCD website in the What’s New Section on the right. Testing for COVID-19 in Alameda CountyIn partnership with community partners, ACPHD is operating free COVID-19 testing locations throughout the county. Testing is free and available to anyone with or without symptoms at all community testing sites in Alameda County.
