Vax for the Win is a new multi-faceted program to get more people vaccinated by June 15. The program incentivizes people who still need to get vaccinated, especially those in
hard-to-reach communities, and thanks everyone who has already been vaccinated.

Alameda County reached another milestone with more than 75% of residents age 16+ having received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. We encourage residents to continue wearing masks, maintain social distance, and support family and friends getting vaccinated including individuals 12 to 15 years old who recently became eligible.

Children and Adults Can Now Get Other Vaccinations at Same Time as COVID-19 Vaccines. The Association of Bay Area Health Officers issued a statement on May 28,
supporting the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention’s recently revised immunization guidance and encouraging providers to offer routinely recommended child and adult
vaccines at the same time as COVID-19 vaccines.

Alameda County residents can sign up for vaccine appointments online. Registration is available in multiple languages. We also offer a comprehensive list of vaccinating sites in Alameda County and Getting a vaccine in Alameda County in multiple languages.

Paratransit services are available to support vaccine access. This specialized transportation service is available for persons who are unable to independently use regular buses, streetcars, or BART due to a disability or health related condition. We also
offer a printable version of the Paratransit Supporting Vaccine Access tables.

As fire season is coming, we need to be prepared. Last year was detrimental for many in our state and our county. Please make sure you are keeping track of fires near you, so you can be ready, have a to-go bag for you and your family, and keep your animals inside in case of an emergency. Thank you to our firefighters who fight for us every day, especially when it comes to fire season.
