Don't Know if They're Vaxxed? Stay Masked!

COVID

The pandemic is not over. While local disease trends are favorable, it is imperative that we not let up now. Please continue social distancing, washing your hands, and masking in public especially, when you don't know if others around you are vaccinated.

The State of California's current guidance for face coverings:

  • For fully vaccinated persons, face coverings are not required outdoors except when attending crowded outdoor events, such as live performances, parades, fairs, festivals, sports events, or other similar settings.
  • For unvaccinated persons, face coverings are required outdoors any time physical distancing cannot be maintained, including when attending crowded outdoor events, such as live performances, parades, fairs, festivals, sports events, or other similar settings.

Growing up in poverty can have a lasting impact that puts individuals at greater risk for mental illness, gang involvement, or involvement in the commercial sex industry. In order to support families living in poverty, it is essential for providers to understand how their own socioeconomic upbringing impacts their ability to understand the challenges of living in and of getting out of poverty. The trainers will discuss strategies to effectively engage and empower individuals and families living below the poverty line.
