Alameda County Board of Supervisors Stand United to Keeping Families Together
Board President Wilma Chan giving opening remarks at the press conference at De Colores Head Start in Fruitvale
My fellow Alameda County Board of Supervisors and I speak out in support of our immigrant families against the inhumane actions affecting families that are crossing the border. We must continue to work together to defend our most vulnerable.
A big thank you to Board President Supervisor Chan for setting up this press conference with speakers Edward Mora, Office of Congressman Eric Swalwell, Tasion Kwamilele, Office of Congresswoman
Barbara Lee, Oakland Board of Education Director Shanthi
Gonzales, District 6, Jane Garcia of La Clinica de la Raza and others.
If you want to help, we recommend people donate to RAICES, an organization near the border working with immigrants: RAICES.
