LAKESIDE SENIOR APARTMENTS (92 Units) will be accepting applications on February 9, 2018.

ELIGIBILITY - HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD MUST BE 55 YEARS OR OLDER. AT LEAST ONE HOUSEHOLD MEMBER MUST BE BOTH HOMELESS AND DISABLED.*

Applications will be available online and at the property when the waiting list for one bedroom units re-opens on February 9, 2018. Applications must be received by February 16, 2018. A lottery will be conducted for all applications received by the deadline. Applications can be returned in person or by mail to the property manager at 1507 2nd Avenue, Oakland, CA 94606.

The program offers 19 internship opportunities in a variety of fields: Aviation, Aviation Communications, Aviation Planning and Development, Communications, Engineering, Environmental Programs and Planning, Governmental Affairs, Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal, Risk Management and Social Responsibility.

Join us in Sacramento for our ADVOCACY DAY!!! By participating in Advocacy Day, you will help the Alzheimer’s Association continue to enact policies that improves and expands options for high-quality dementia care in the African American community.

African Americans are two times more likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease and vascular dementia. This is why it is important that our elected officials hear from those affected by this disease, and understand that their continued support is needed, especially in the African American community.

Registration required. $50 registration fee (includes breakfast lunch and materials)

Fayeth Gardens: A Venue for the Community

The 20-acre retreat is open year-round for use by community/faith-based groups, churches, non-profits or government use for intimate indoor gatherings (40 people) or overnight stays (14 people). 

The space can accommodate up to 100 people for outdoor events in their Walnut Grove. If you are interested in utilizing this space for your next retreat or event please reach out!

Winter's cold weather exacerbates health challenges for the thousands of Alameda County residents who are living unsheltered on the streets and in encampments. You can access up-to-date winter shelter and warming station information on the Health Care for the Homeless Program website.
