Fire Station Rebuilds Update
Complete demolition and rebuild
Station 8 construction began September 2021, with completion date slated for June 2022. Major milestones:
- Interior complete and near framing
- Roof structure complete
- Apparatus bay masonry wall complete

Station 9 construction began April 2021, with completion date slated for June 2022.
Major milestones:
- Small apparatus bay concrete complete
- Dry wall complete in living area
- Dorm room furniture being installed
- May 2022 target date for demolition of the house Station 9 firefighters are currently working in

Fire Station Remodels Update
Four remodels that focus on health and safety improvements, with projected completion by August 2022
Station 7 Expected completion date of July 2022. Contractor is preparing to pour floors for the new expansion east of the apparatus bay.

Station 15 site work continues to move forward. Contractor is in the process of pouring footers and floors. Expected completion date of May 2022. |

Station 18 Expected completion date of August 2022. Progress:
- Dorm wing, new utility/turnout gear storage, and new bay are under construction
- Interior work will follow the completion of the new expansion space
- Crews will move into the new dorm room when the space is complete. Existing dorm rooms will be converted into the workout room

Bicycle Boulevards Under Construction
Five Tucson Delivers: Strong Connections bicycle boulevard projects are under construction, with completion expected in July. These projects will use neighborhood streets to expand our citywide low-stress walking and biking network using traffic calming, pushbutton crossings, and other improvements. Work is currently underway on pushbutton (HAWK) crossing improvements, neighborhood traffic circles, and chicanes. Safer City/Better Streets Actual Activity as of 2.28.2022
The Safer City/Better Streets initiative is funded by sales tax revenue. Expenditures focus on capital-intensive projects such as rebuilding and remodeling facilities, adding new technology, and rehabilitation and reconstruction of streets.

Great Parks + Strong Connections 2019-2022 Phase 1 Allocation through 2.28.2022
The Great Parks + Strong Connections is a voter-approved initiative funded by bonds. Improvements will occur in three phases over ten years, 2019-2028. The program is currently in the first phase of implementation.
