THE PEOPLE IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD: Creative Strategies for Meaningful Engagement

Don’t Miss This Upcoming Virtual Neighborhood Workshop

When: Wednesday, March 31, 2021, 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

Where: Online via Zoom - Register here

Focus: A common question Neighborhood Resources receives from Neighborhood Association leaders is, “How can we get more people involved in our neighborhood efforts?”

Serena Unrein, Arizona Partnership for Healthy Communities, will moderate a conversation about ways to effectively and equitably reach people who aren’t currently involved in neighborhood meetings, activities, and projects.

Speakers:

  • Evren Sönmez, Director of Strategic Policy & Practice, Living Streets Alliance. You may have met Evren through her work with various neighborhood projects over the years.
  • Lyssa Hall, Live Well Arizona Incubator Coach. Lyssa previously worked in the City of Phoenix Neighborhood Services Department as a Planner and most recently worked with the Menlo Park Neighborhood Association on strategies for involvement in the preparation of Menlo Park’s Neighborhood Plan.

Questions:  Please contact Rebecca Ruopp, Neighborhood Engagement Specialist, at Rebecca.Ruopp@tucsonaz.gov or (520) 837-6973 with any questions about the upcoming workshop.

We hope you can attend and join the conversation. This workshop is a collaboration between City of Tucson Neighborhood Resources and Arizona Partnership for Healthy Communities.
