DOWNTOWN PARKING LOT CLOSURES, ROAD CLOSURE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT WORK

Beginning Monday, Aug. 10, and continuing through Thursday Aug. 13, the City of Tucson’s Environmental and General Services Department (EGSD) will be conducting environmental assessment activities, by taking soil and soil vapor samples, in support of the Ronstadt Redevelopment Project.

This work will occur in the area bounded by Pennington Street, 6^th Avenue, and Toole Avenue.

The Pennington Triangle and Toole Avenue Parking Lots will be closed from Monday, Aug. 10 through Thursday, Aug. 13. The lots are expected to reopen on Friday, Aug. 14.

On Tuesday, Aug. 11, from 5:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Pennington Street, and the surrounding right-of-way, will be closed from 6^th Avenue to Toole Avenue. Sun Tran routes will be temporarily and minimally affected during assessment activities.
