Did You Know You Might Own a Natural Gas Line?
Mesa owns, operates and maintains the gas pipelines up to and including the meter outside your home or business.
The piping from the meter to your gas appliances—inside and outside—is your responsibility, just like your plumbing or electrical systems. It’s important to check this piping regularly for leaks, rust or damage. If you notice a problem, contact a licensed professional for repairs.
Remember, if you’re planning a digging project always call Arizona 811 before you start, and hand dig carefully near any buried piping.Â
Leak Detectives Wanted! Join the Fix a Leak Scavenger Hunt
Did you know a leak dripping just 10 times per minute can waste more than 500 gallons of water a year? The annual EPA WaterSense Fix a Leak Week (March 16–22) raises awareness of finding and fixing leaks that waste millions of gallons of water nationwide each year. This year, we’re expanding the effort by focusing on leaks all month. Here’s how you can join in:
Go on a Scavenger Hunt and win great prizes!
Mission: Track down sneaky leaks inside your home and out in your landscape. Complete the hunt, fix what you can and help save water.
Prizes: Participants who submit a fully completed scavenger hunt form will be entered to win a $100 gift card to Ace Hardware. Everyone who enters will receive a toilet leak test kit and Water – Use It Wisely sticker (Contest open to Mesa residents only.)
Contest Dates: March 1 - 31, 2026. Gift card winners will be notified by April 30, 2026.

A Double Boost for Water-Saving Landscapes in Mesa
Mesa’s Grass-to-Xeriscape incentive just got a major boost! Thanks to generous sponsorships from SRP and Google, the incentive is doubling for a limited time. That means homeowners may now qualify for up to $4,100 to replace their thirsty lawn with beautiful, desert-adapted plants and trees.
It’s the perfect opportunity to refresh the landscape, save water and create a yard that thrives in our Sonoran climate. But don’t wait – funding is limited, and this enhanced incentive won’t last long.
Ready to transform your outdoor space? Check eligibility details and apply at mesaaz.gov/Xeriscape. Terms and conditions apply.

Arizona Baseball Museum
Don't want Spring Training to end? Visit the new Arizona Baseball Museum at the Mesa Historical Museum.Â
The Museum began with a simple idea: to create a permanent home for Arizona’s rich baseball history. For decades, the 1939 Lehi Auditorium—located next door to the Mesa Historical Museum—sat quietly due to lack of updated facilities. But the Mesa Historical Museum saw the opportunity to create Arizona’s first and only museum dedicated exclusively to the state’s baseball history.

Applications Open for the 2026 Hometown Heroes Banner Program
The Mesa Hometown Heroes Banner Program is a meaningful tribute that honors fallen service members, veterans and active-duty members of the United States Armed Forces. It is an honor for the Mesa Chamber of Commerce to help recognize their service and sacrifice through banners proudly displayed in Downtown Mesa in both May and November. Banners feature each service member’s rank, name, branch, years of service and picture, if provided.
