 Community Newsletter December 2024
Happy December Neighbors!
As the year draws to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on the many ways our community has come together in 2024 to make District 4 a vibrant and thriving place to live. From neighborhood improvement projects and meaningful conversations to events that brought us closer, it's been an honor to work alongside each of you.
December is a special time to celebrate the season, connect with loved ones, and look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead in the new year. Whether you’re enjoying a festive holiday event, exploring our beautifully lit parks, or volunteering to make a difference, the spirit of Mesa shines bright in all that we do.
Thank you for your continued dedication to making District 4 a welcoming and resilient community. I wish you and your families a joyful holiday season filled with warmth, peace, and happiness.
If you ever have any questions, want to share about issues that are important to you, or if I can be of assistance, please reach out to me at district4@mesaaz.gov or 480-644-3004. My door is always open.

New Environmental Protection Agency’s Lead and Copper Rule Compliance
To comply with the Environmental Protection Agency’s Lead and Copper Rule Revisions, the City of Mesa Water Resources department is required to inventory all water service lines to determine if any contain lead or galvanized materials.
While no lead service lines have been found in Mesa, the City remains committed to ensuring the safety and integrity of our water distribution system by verifying all service lines currently classified as “unknown.”
In the coming days, Mesa residents with galvanized pipes or service lines marked as “unknown” will receive a letter with recommended next steps.
If you have any questions, please contact the City of Mesa's Water Quality Team at leadandcopper@mesaaz.gov.

- Identify gas appliances in and outside your home and know how to use them safely.
- Always call 811 before digging or planting.
- Learn how to detect and report a gas leak.
- Protect your gas meter from being damaged by vehicles.
- Learn how to detect and prevent carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning.
