Alarm System and Permits
Alarm systems are designed to safeguard lives and property when they are correctly installed, operated, and maintained. However, improper use or maintenance can lead to a significant increase in the number of calls requiring police dispatch.
By working together, we can help reduce false alarm activations. To support this effort, you can visit our website to apply for a new permit, renew an existing one or settle any false alarm fee assessments.
We also offer an Alarm Awareness course, which covers the basics of the alarm program. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a $50 waiver, applicable to any false alarm fee. This waiver may be used once per year.
Learn more about alarm system use and required permits by reviewing the Alarm Ordinance.

They are ready to find extraordinary items and hear fascinating tales about them. If you or someone you know has a unique item, story to tell, and is ready to sellâŚthey would love to hear from you!
