Hispanic Heritage Month – celebrating Mesa’s Latino-owned businesses
September 15 marks the beginning of Hispanic Heritage month. There are nearly 5 million Latino-owned businesses in the U.S. that contribute more than $800 billion to the U.S. economy annually, according to Congress’s Joint Economic Committee (JEC). Nearly 1 in 4 new businesses in the U.S. today are Latin-owned, and they are major drivers of job-creation. Mesa has a robust variety of Latino-owned businesses. The charming Cielito Rosa Bakery & Café, located at 1720 W Southern Ave, is a new business offering a wide selection of ethnic and standard delicious confections. Shop local and support a Latino-owned business in support of Hispanic Heritage month.
