Summer Kick-Off
Greetings,
We've made it to the start of the summer season! This month, Mesa Parks and Recreation, alongside Mesa Libraries, organized a diverse range of programs for all ages. From engaging summer reading initiatives to refreshing public swim hours, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Scroll down for all the information.
In addition, Mesa's Solid Waste Division is thrilled to unveil the expansion of their Blue Barrel Program. Residents will be able to recycle more items. This initiative not only underscores our commitment to sustainability but also empowers our community to contribute to environmental conservation.
Furthermore, mark your calendars for a Fourth of July celebration that promises to be spectacular. This event is open to all.
Exciting developments are also underway for our local business owners as Economic Development introduces a new hub designed to provide invaluable resources and support—all at no cost. It's Mesa's way of fostering a thriving entrepreneurial community.
In civic matters, the Mesa City Council recently approved the 2050 General Plan, giving Mesa residents the opportunity to vote on it during the November 2024 General Election. We'll also be finalizing and voting (as a Council) on the fiscal year 24/25 Mesa budget. Your feedback and engagement are crucial as we work together to ensure a prosperous future for Mesa.
For any inquiries or to share your thoughts, please feel free to reach out to me at District5@Mesaaz.gov.
Warm Regards,
Councilmember Alicia Goforth
