March is Women's History Month, and we're proud to announce that the City of Mesa, Arizona Government has officially proclaimed this month as a time to celebrate the incredible achievements and contributions of women throughout history and in our communities today.
Accepting the proclamation was the Women Leading Mesa Planning Committee, a new City of Mesa employee resource group that invests in the women within the organization by cultivating an environment that celebrates their contributions, champions professional and personal growth, and fosters a workplace where women can thrive.
Let's continue to honor the women in our lives by recognizing their efforts and providing resources to better support them and elevate their voice in our community.

Exclusive Offer: Free Shade Trees for Mesa Electric Customers!
It’s getting shady out there! Mesa Electric customers are invited to participate in a new shade tree program. Attend a workshop on March 16 to be eligible to receive a free shade tree. Desert-adapted shade trees play a crucial role in reducing home cooling costs when strategically planted and contribute to lowering outdoor temperatures and cleaning the air.
We encourage all Mesa Electric customers to register by March 8 for the upcoming Mesa Electric Shade Tree Program workshop. Hosted by our contractor and nonprofit partner Trees Matter, the workshop will cover essential topics such as tree selection, planting and tree care.

Excess Flow Valves (EFVs)
As an additional safety measure to our system, we install EFVs on gas service lines to limit gas flow if the line is broken or severely damaged. This is most often associated with excavation or vehicle impact with the meter assembly.
If you have an EFV, it is typically installed at the service line connection to the gas main or at the property line and can be identified by a washer on the meter riser.
Learn more about EFVs or the requirements and costs to have one installed.
