Happy February Neighbors!
I hope you are all enjoying this change of weather! This month's newsletter shares several updates and information about what's happening in the district and citywide.
We are excited to announce that the student essay and visual arts contest for National Preservation Month has kicked off. This is a fun and great opportunity for all school-aged Mesa residents who want to share their creative writing and art skills with the community. Visit the Historic Preservation Office webpage for details.
Also, a friendly reminder that the Mesa Marathon will return on Saturday, February 10. For details about the course and traffic, visit https://gis.mesaaz.gov/mesamarathon/. Did you know?
Natural gas pipelines are a safe and reliable way to transport energy to homes and businesses in our communities. Since most natural gas pipelines are buried underground, you may not know that you live or work close to one. To help identify their presence, yellow pipeline markers are used. These markers display the name of the pipeline operator, the material being transported, and emergency contact information. Knowing the location of buried facilities is the simplest and easiest way to keep everyone safe and protect the vital utilities we rely on every day.
