Calling You to Imagine Tomorrow’s Mesa
Mesa asks residents, businesses and stakeholders to provide input to shape Tomorrow's Mesa. Every ten years, we update the General Plan, as mandated by the State of Arizona. Public participation and community input shape this effort, providing a vision and setting the City's future priorities.
You can participate in our Tomorrow's Mesa effort in person by attending a public meeting or visiting our tent at various community events, such as:
- Las Sendas Food Truck Friday Event, 7900 E Eagle Crest, Friday, Feb. 24, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- I Love Mesa Day, Downtown Mesa, Saturday, Feb. 25, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Eastmark Safety Day, Eastmark Great Park 5100 S. Eastmark Parkway, Saturday, March 4, from 10 a.m to 2 p.m.
Another way to get involved is by completing a brief five-minute online questionnaire. In addition to the General Plan, Mesa is updating its Transportation, Transit, Water and Balanced Housing Master Plans.Â

Natural Gas Pipeline Markers
Since buried gas pipelines are out of sight, it's easy to forget about them. Sometimes, pipelines are identified by line markers, but often they are not. We use these line markers to indicate the approximate locations of pipelines. Pipeline markers are:
- Yellow
- Typically located along pipeline rights-of-way and at road and railroad crossings
- Displaying the pipeline operator's name, material transported and emergency contact information
Knowing the location of buried facilities is the simplest and easiest way to keep everyone safe and protect the vital utilities we rely on every day.Â

Help Keep Mesa Parks Beautiful!
Did you know that motorized bikes, dirt bikes, quads, golf carts and any other motorized vehicles are NOT allowed in any City of Mesa park or basin, not even on the sidewalk? When in doubt, ride on out. Â
These motorized vehicles can damage the landscape and vegetation at our parks and basins, and we need your help to keep these spaces beautiful. Help us spread the word and report any suspicious behavior.
If you see anyone engaging in behaviors or activities that is against our park rules and regulations, please reach out to our on-call Park Rangers at 480-644-3171. Thank you for your help in protecting our parks and basins.

Thinking of Getting Rid of Your Grass? Our Incentives Have Increased!
Apply to remove established grass and replace it with a water-thrifty Xeriscape landscape and you may qualify to receive up to $1,100 from the City of Mesa. Two levels of incentives are available: 500 - 999 square feet of grass conversion is eligible for $750, and more than 1,000 square feet is eligible for $1,000. Add an eligible tree or two as part of your Grass-to-Xeriscape project for up to $100 more. Completed projects are ineligible. A Xeriscape (zeer-a-scape) uses well-adapted plants, efficient irrigation, careful design and proper maintenance to produce landscapes that save water and energy. Xeriscape also provides wildlife habitat and creates shade. Find out if you qualify.
