AT&T Expanding Fiber Internet Service to Arizona
AT&T plans to expand its award-winning fiber internet service to bring reliable, high-speed broadband to the Mesa, AZ area. Service is expected to be available to local residents in 2023.
Why is this important?
Mesa is one of the largest and fastest growing cities in America, so AT&T sees a great opportunity to deliver better access to education, jobs, healthcare and more through the power of fiber connectivity. AT&T expects to offer speeds of up to 5-Gigs of fiber-based broadband to more than 100,000 homes in and around the Mesa area. AT&T's previously provided capital investment guidance is unchanged.
AT&T also has a long and productive business relationship with Corning Incorporated, its largest fiber manufacturing supplier. Corning's recent investment in a new optical cable manufacturing facility in the Mesa area will help produce the fiber-optic cable needed to help millions of Americans connect to new opportunities and further close the digital divide.
Mesa area residents can be the first to know when AT&T Fiber is available in their area by visiting: att.com/NotifyMe
Mesa College Promise
During the announcement, AT&T also presented a $50,000 check to Mesa College Promise. The program provides financial support to students with demonstrated financial needs who have not received enough FAFSA funds or other scholarships to completely cover the cost of college. Eligibility includes a 2.0 or better high school GPA, Mesa residency and a commitment to taking a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester. Full details and the application link are available at www.mesacc.edu/mesa-promise.

Meet El Yori Hotdogs & Grill!
The District 3 Council Office is going on the road to highlight local restaurants within the district! Follow my social media accounts to check out our features. This past month, I visited El Yori Hotdogs!
I had the pleasure to meet Celsa and Damian. They started out offering authentic Sonoran hotdogs in a cart along Broadway and Stapley, here in Mesa. After several years, they decided to offer a better experience to their customers, and that's when they decided to open up their own restaurant location: 753 S Alma School Rd Ste 5 Mesa, AZ 85210.
I highly encourage you to give them a try! They offer authentic Sonoran Hotdogs with a variety of toppings, and a welcoming atmosphere.
Let us know about your favorite spots in District 3 and we will come visit!
