 March 2022
Hello District 3 Neighbors!
Great things are happening in Mesa. We recently held our Strategic Planning Session at the City Council. During this meeting, we discussed our priorities as Councilmembers and the vision we have for our districts, and for Mesa as a whole. Based on these priorities, we set short-term and long-term goals that will guide our work for the months to come.Â
Some of the priorities I champion include smart transit, workforce housing, strategic infill development, and continued support to our small businesses. Through my efforts, I hope to ensure our city continues to be a great place to live, work, and play.
On a separate note, I encourage you to scroll down to learn about more exciting things happening in Mesa. As always, you can contact my office: District3@mesaaz.gov or 480-644-6275.
~Councilmember Francisco Heredia

Women's History Month
This month we celebrate women's contributions to history, culture and society. It is also an opportunity to reflect on the courage of women in past generations and to celebrate how their efforts and bravery afforded women the opportunities and freedoms they have today.
In honor of Women's History Month, I will be featuring residents of Mesa making a difference in our communities. Tune in to my social media channels to see these features: Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.Â
Stay tuned!

Mesa Hometown Heroes Banner Program
Nominations are being accepted through March 31 for the City of Mesa Hometown Heroes Banner Program. The program recognizes and honors Mesa residents and their family members who are serving or are veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces. Each banner will honor a specific Mesa service person and will include their name, branch of service and photo if provided.
Banners will be displayed on streetlamps along Main St in downtown Mesa during the Memorial Day and Veterans Day holidays to recognize their sacrifice and remind the community of their dedication to our country.
