Uncharted Waters

Yesterday, the City of Mesa announced continued proactive measures targeting the community spread of COVID-19. Those steps include adjusting the availability and staffing of public facilities and modifying library, recreation, and art programs. Learn more at this link. Mesa has and will continue to focus staff, resources, and efforts towards essential services like police, fire, solid waste, transportation, water and energy services, and more.

The City has launched two positive initiatives: #InspireMesa and Mesa Cares (find details in our news listing below). And, you can always find the latest city updates including facility closures, changes to programs/services, general information, and resources on our COVID-19 page.

We bring you our Living Green News at a time when many of you may be struggling to comprehend this new world in which we find ourselves. While we may be anxious about what the future holds, we’ve been fortunate to have a dazzling spring (thanks to recent rains) that has encouraged a flush of new growth and flowers in our landscapes. Spring reminds us of this powerful act of nature that symbolizes the revival of life – something we can all use during these uncertain times. We hope that what we’re sharing below will provide you with some measure of distraction, productive instructions or ideas, and even some fun activities for your kids while you stay at home together. Nature heals.

Stay home, stay healthy, stay connected.
