County Employees,
The legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is one of unity. He believed, as I do, that all people, regardless of background, should have the freedoms and opportunities afforded by this great nation.
In that spirit, and ahead of the MLK holiday, I would like to invite you to a luncheon where we'll talk about Dr. King's legacy and what we can do as an organization to lift up those around us and while not getting distracted by those seeking to divide us.
This is a chance for employees of all backgrounds to come together, share some food, and connect on a personal level. We'll have lunch, a guest speaker, and perhaps a few other surprises.
The luncheon will be January 12 from 11:30 am until 1 pm at the County Administration Building (301 W. Jefferson St.) on the second floor. It is open to any county employee who would like to attend.
Space is limited so I ask that you RSVP by Tuesday, 1/10 at 5 p.m.
All my best,
Steve Gallardo
