Over the past few years, your central HR team has partnered with County leadership to improve every aspect of the employee experience from onboarding and training to pay and benefits to work-life balance. We’ve normalized remote work and flexible schedules, added mental health resources and backup care to a generous health benefits plan, and provided consistent in-person, online, and over-the-phone support for staff navigating life events, workplace changes, and the impacts of a global pandemic. I’m so grateful to my HR team for their dedication to serving those who serve.
Now it’s time for the next evolution. On Monday, the County will migrate to a new HR management system called Workday. Our goal in moving to Workday is give you a single platform to do everything you need to do. Fill out timecards and request time off. Enroll in benefits or change your selections. Get the training you need to do your job better. Recruit and hire the talent you need to make your team stronger. It’s all there in Workday.
Workday will replace ADP, BenefitSolver, NEOGOV, and The Hub, and it will also provide additional tools and resources those platforms didn’t offer. Helpful ways to collaborate across departments. Analytics at your fingertips. Accessibility on any device, wherever you are.
My hope is that Workday truly makes your work day better, but of course, we want your feedback as you get into the system and use it. We want to know what’s working and what isn’t. We want to know if the trainings we put together are helpful. We want to know if there’s something we should add to the FAQ page.
Great workplaces require great people, and we have an abundance of them. But they also benefit from improved technology and processes. That’s what Workday is about. I hope your experience with it is a good one.
