MCAO's 2021 Annual Report
 Every year we offer the communities we serve a behind-the-scenes look at our office in our Annual Report.
This year’s report showcases the programs and accomplishments we are most proud of as an office including ending the backlog of un-submitted sexual assault kits, the creation of a full-time Diversity and Community Engagement employee position, and our continued commitment to community outreach through our Keeping Families Safe campaign.

 MCAO teamed up with iHeart Media to raise awareness of scams and identity theft!
Shredding Away Identity Theft!

This spring, our office held three Shred-A-Thon and Prescription Drug-Take Back events throughout the valley and helped residents shred more than 31 tons of paper and 466 pounds of expired and unused prescription medication. Stay tuned this fall for more Shred-A-Thon events!

Community Trainings & Outreach

Our Community Affairs Coordinators were out in the community this month meeting with the public and sharing information on scam trends, identity theft, internet safety, substance abuse, and residential security.
 The first step to keeping your family safe is to stay informed! The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office offers FREE educational safety presentations to businesses, organizations, and community groups on a variety of topics.
Citizens Academy is Back!
 The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office is happy to announce the return of our Citizens Academy. The Citizens Academy is a free, one-day program of presentations and activities designed to educate members of the public about the unique role the office plays in the criminal justice system.
