This holiday season we can all help fight scams by learning about them, talking to others, and reporting it if it happens to us. Take a few minutes to learn about two of the most common holiday scams.
Phone Scams
 Do you get multiple scam calls a day? You're not alone. Last month, Arizona residents received on average of 12 scam calls a day. Learn how to avoid these types of calls and protect your personal and financial information.
Online Shopping Scams
 Holiday shopping can be stressful. There's a lot on our minds between deciding on the right gift and finding it online or in the store. On top of it all, supply chain issues and material shortages might make it even harder to find the gifts you're looking for this year. All of this can cause you to make hasty decisions, which scammers are counting on to get access to your financial information.

Road Rage Awareness
Over the last few weeks, cities in the Valley have been plagued by incidents of aggressive driving and road rage. Road rage incidents in Arizona have increased over the last two years, and this year are expected to surpass 500 incidents. Learn what you can do to protect yourself when tensions are high on the road.

Maricopa County Safety Fair
 MCAO hosted a Safety Fair in Sun City West this month featuring 15 county and local organizations who provided safety information and resources to community members.
County Attorney Allister Adel and County Sheriff Paul Penzone also participated and shared information on how they're helping keep our communities safe. Arizona Director of Homeland Security, Tim Roemer was the main speaker for the event and shared important cybersecurity tips to help community members to stay safe online.
2021 Veterans Day Parade
 County Attorney Allister Adel and MCAO employees showed their support for Veterans and members of the military at the Phoenix Veterans Day Parade! MCAO's parade float featured a decorated military vehicle escorted by local Marines on a humvee from the Luke Air Force Base.

 Get your questions answered and learn how you can keep your loved ones safe this holiday season. With more holiday gatherings around the corner, now is the perfect time to get your COVID-19 vaccine. When it comes to family, it's always best to play it safe! If you feel sick, you should stay home.
Save Lives, Don't DUI!
 Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol is no way to spread holiday cheer! Always make a plan to get home safe, whether it's using a rideshare app, public transportation, a cab or a designated driver. There is no excuse for drunk driving.
