Community Vaccination Events Benefit Everyone!
|
|
Public Health continues its mission to get vaccine into underserved communities with an event today through Sunday at First Institutional Baptist Church. We are partnering with FIBCO and Mayo Clinic to provide the Moderna vaccine to all residents 18 and older.
Another event serving people experiencing homelessness in downtown Phoenix wrapped up today with hundreds vaccinated.
Thank you to our partners and to everyone who’s coming out to get their shot!

COVID-19 Cases Are Rising Across The United States
At least 21 states have recorded a 10+% rise in daily average positive cases of COVID-19. Maricopa County has seen a slight increase in cases per 100,000 over the past three weeks. These trends tell us that the pandemic is not over and we must all keep our guard up. For the 75% of Arizona residents who are not fully vaccinated, that means:
- Stay home when you’re sick
- Avoid large groups
- Wear masks and keep distance in public
- Wash hands regularly
- Get vaccinated
For the nearly one million Maricopa County residents who are fully vaccinated, we encourage you to follow Public Health guidelines in order to protect friends, loved ones, coworkers, and fellow community members.

Vaccine Safety
Already an impressive 40 percent of Maricopa County residents (16 and up) have been vaccinated with at least one dose, but there’s still work to do! If you’re still on the fence about getting vaccinated, we have answers to some of the most common questions people have about vaccine safety, efficacy, and more on our website. Find A Place To Get Vaccinated
If you’re in need of your first dose, or maybe missed that second dose appointment and need to get that scheduled, there are many options to find vaccine. You can find a complete list of vaccination sites in Maricopa County, including pharmacies and some doctor’s offices, at Maricopa.gov/COVID19VaccineLocations. For those needing that second dose from the same manufacturer as their first, you can use our map search feature to find providers by the type of vaccine offered. Don’t forget to check podvaccine.azdhs.gov every day at 8 am for additional appointments due to cancellations and every Friday at 11 am for a new batch of appointments at state-run PODs.
