2 Million Doses In Arms; 1.3 Million Maricopa County Residents Have Received Vaccine

Less than five months after Maricopa County received its first doses of COVID-19 vaccine, more than 1.3 million Maricopa County residents have been vaccinated with at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine. This figure represents nearly 40% of all Maricopa County residents over the age of 15. In the last week, Maricopa County residents received an average of more than 35,000 doses of vaccine per day, which is about 5,000 more doses per day than the week prior.
All told, Maricopa County residents have received a total of over 2 million doses. A big thanks to all of our community partners helping with the vaccination effort and to our residents for prioritizing their health!

You can find a complete list of vaccination sites in Maricopa County at Maricopa.gov/COVID19VaccineLocations. Don’t forget to check podvaccine.azdhs.gov every day at 8 am for additional appointments due to cancellations and every Friday at 11 am for a new batch of appointments at state-run PODs.

Interested In Hosting A Vaccination Event?
Maricopa County allocates vaccine directly to providers, such as pharmacies, who can provide support for these types of events. Organizations interested in hosting a pop-up vaccination event can contact Public Health using this link.

New Resource for Spanish Speakers
Maricopa County Public Health has partnered with 2-1-1 to bring Spanish-speaking Promotores on board to assist residents with information on the COVID-19 vaccine and also help book appointments. Want to learn more? Tune in tomorrow (Thursday, April 8th) from 5-7 pm on Univision 33 or cable 19 to hear some of the most frequently asked vaccine questions and even get an appointment booked.

Partnership To Help People Experiencing Homelessness
Maricopa County and the Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES) announced today a joint partnership to expand housing resources for people who are experiencing homelessness on and around the Human Services Campus in downtown Phoenix. Funding from DES will be provided to Community Bridges, Inc. for permanent housing solutions to ensure fewer people are unsheltered during the summer months.
