Have A Safe Holiday Weekend
|
|
As you make plans this weekend, remember that we are still in a public health emergency. Large and medium gatherings are still not recommended due to possible spread of COVID-19. Per CDC guidance, if everyone who wants to celebrate together is fully vaccinated, they can see one another safely, including indoors, without masks. They can even share a meal together. However, if fully vaccinated people are getting together with households that have unvaccinated people, they should only see one household at a time.
Masks and social distancing are still recommended in public settings for everyone, including those who are fully vaccinated. Have a safe and happy weekend!

CDC: Fully Vaccinated People Can Travel
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says fully vaccinated people can travel safely within the United States. This means vaccinated people who travel domestically can do so without getting tested or quarantining, unless their destination requires it.
Fully vaccinated people who travel internationally will still be required to get a negative COVID-19 test before returning to the U.S.
The CDC also says all travelers, including those who have been fully-vaccinated, should still wear a mask, wash their hands often, and maintain six feet of physical distance from other people.

Vaccination Events & Phoenix Heat
With high temperatures near 100 expected this weekend, it’s a good time to make sure you know that we have plans to move all vaccination events indoors! Many of the PODs and other public vaccination sites started outdoors. We realize outdoor events are not sustainable for much longer. We started transitioning to indoor events in recent weeks. You can sign up to get notified about neighborhood pop-up events, or you can view a full list of public vaccination sites at Maricopa.gov/COVID19VaccineLocations.
