A number of new vaccination opportunities have opened up this week. Here is what we know as of 5 p.m. on February 3:
2nd DOSE APPOINTMENTS STILL AVAILABLE: Those of you received your first dose at the Chandler or Goodyear POD prior to January 21 should have already received an invitation to sign up for your second dose appointment. If you are in this group, you will receive an email from podvaccine-noreply@azdhs.gov. Sometimes this email ends up in spam folders, so you’ll want to check spam/junk if you did not see the email. If you haven’t received it for some reason, please fill out this form.
CHECK DAILY FOR OPEN APPOINTMENTS FOR 75+: We are opening up a select number of first dose appointments for adults 75 and older at our Chandler, Goodyear, and Grand Canyon University PODs. We anticipate having some scheduling availability for those 75 and older each day, but the number of appointments and which location they are offered at will vary. You can check appointment availability at podvaccine.azdhs.gov.
MORE EVENTS COMING: Public Health is partnering with local school districts on additional events for teachers and childcare workers for the coming weeks (see key message above).
NO APPOINTMENTS LEFT: ADHS opened up 21,000 additional February appointments at their Phoenix Municipal Stadium site starting at 9 this morning. They were booked within 39 minutes.
NO MORE APPOINTMENTS: Public Health partnered with the City of Mesa to offer a two-day vaccination event for adults 75 years and older. All slots today and tomorrow were filled.
