Watch this video to see about expanding options for vaccination at pharmacies for people 75 years and older. Currently, there are nine pharmacy locations countywide with additional sites coming soon. |

Who Can Make A Vaccination Appointment Right Now?
Maricopa County vaccination sites do not allow walk-ins, including pharmacies. While you may hear about this happening elsewhere, PODs run by Maricopa County offer vaccine only to those with appointments. Pharmacies also require appointments and cannot take walk-ins.

Right now, we are offering appointments to Phase 1A and 1B priority groups:
For links to registration and important information about scheduling, please see the Phase 1B page. If you're a healthcare worker, go to Phase 1A.
Maricopa County’s Vaccination Rate
In addition to vaccinations ongoing at our regional POD sites and select pharmacies, Maricopa County is working with its community partners to get a limited supply of vaccine allocated for targeted vaccination events to reach priority groups, such as school area-based POD sites for K-12 teachers/staff and childcare workers and municipal/public safety POD sites for law enforcement and security officers. To date, more than 143,000 doses of vaccine have been administered at county points of dispensing (PODs) with nearly 190,000 doses administered countywide. Data from ADHS shows Maricopa County is vaccinating residents at one of the highest rates in Arizona, with a vaccination rate of 4,293 per 100,000 people, higher than the state average (4,137) and fourth highest among Arizona’s 15 counties despite having more people and more complex logistical challenges.
That said, we won’t be satisfied until everyone who wants the vaccine can get it. We are preparing diligently to expand vaccination locations and options just as soon as we get more vaccine. While supply is limited now, it won’t be limited forever. Eventually, getting a COVID-19 vaccine will be like getting a flu shot—just a simple visit to your doctor or neighborhood pharmacy.
Until then, thank you for your patience and support as we work to vaccinate the highest-risk among us according to guidelines established by the CDC and the Arizona Vaccine and Antiviral Prioritization Advisory Committee. Our goal is to ensure fairness and equity across diverse populations. We appreciate your patience.

How Long Will POD Sites Be Open In Phase 1B?
Some Maricopa County operated Point of Dispensing (POD) sites will be open and taking appointments into February, with some regional PODs scaling down sooner. The Arizona Department of Health Services, in partnership with other agencies, operates POD sites at State Farm Stadium and the Phoenix Municipal Stadium. These sites are not affiliated with Maricopa County Public Health and are operated by the state. Additional opportunities for vaccination outside of POD locations, such as through pharmacies or employer-based vaccination clinics, are also in development in Maricopa County.

Is There A Website Where I Can Register To Get On The List To Receive Vaccine?
There is no general sign-up or registration site for individuals to express interest in receiving vaccine. Due to initial limited supply of vaccine, distribution is being prioritized for those at highest risk per recommendations by federal vaccine advisory officials.
Once vaccine is more widely available in Phase 2, the general population will hear about its availability through typical distribution channels such as healthcare providers, pharmacies, community health clinics, employer-based clinics, and other avenues.
