What’s Available Right Now?

Hundreds of thousands of you (no exaggeration) are trying to schedule either first or second dose appointments. You should know all of Maricopa County’s current vaccine supply has been allocated either to our PODs or to providers, such as pharmacies and federally-qualified community health centers. Because there is a limited supply of vaccine, scheduling will require patience and persistence. |

Here Is The Latest Information On Appointments As Of Tuesday, 1/19 At 5 PM:
Maricopa County sites (Phase 1A & 1B prioritized only- not ages 65-74)
- All of our existing Maricopa County PODs (regional vaccination sites) are fully booked through the end of January with appointments. These sites don’t offer walk-ins.
- There are eight pharmacies in Maricopa County currently offering a limited number of appointments for adults 75 years and older. Search for appointments >
- School and childcare workers are starting to receive vaccinations. A large number of school-only PODs will serve public, private, and charter schools in specific areas as well as childcare providers (define?). These sites will help offset the large demand for appointments at the public vaccination sites being offered. Learn about school events (VIDEO) >
- Public Health is working with its partners to offer more appointment times and locations as additional vaccine becomes available. Eventually, vaccine will be widely available in more convenient places like your neighborhood pharmacy or your primary care doctor, but this will take time. Check back regularly at gov/COVID19Vaccine1B.
*Note: Vaccination of people ages 65-74 is only available at state-operated POD locations (State Farm and Phoenix Municipal Stadium).
State-run sites (Phase 1A & 1B prioritized + adults 65-74)
- Registration opened today for February appointments at state-operated dispensing locations at State Farm Stadium and Phoenix Municipal Stadium. We understand demand was high and appointments for early February filled up quickly.
- The ADHS Vaccine Registration system supports COVID-19 vaccine scheduling events statewide. You can find step-by-step instructions for setting up your login and password in the ADHS Guide to POD Appointment Setting.
- If you continue to have issues with using the appointment system, please call ADHS Tech Support: 602-542-1000 or email podvaccine-triage@azdhs.gov.

How Do I Get Scheduled For A Second Dose?
In some cases, you will receive a scheduling reminder via email from the provider where you received your first dose. Depending on the type of vaccine you received, you’ll need a second dose 21 days later ( if you received Pfizer) to 28 days later (if you received Moderna) . Your second dose must be of the same vaccine (so, if your first dose was Pfizer, your second dose will need to be Pfizer also). We recommend that you get your second dose where you received your first, but that may be difficult if appointments are limited.
|
What If I Am Not Able To Schedule My Second Dose Within The Recommended Timeframe?
According to ACIP/CDC recommendations, the second dose appointment may be later than the recommended timeframe. However, getting that second dose is important to getting the full protective benefits of the vaccine, so schedule it as soon as you are able.
Maricopa County is working with our health system partners, retail pharmacies and other vaccinators to establish vaccination events and access points to provide second doses to individuals who cannot get their second dose at PODs.
NOTE: For Phase 1A healthcare workers who received their first vaccine dose prior to Jan. 11th needing their second dose vaccination: Please fill out this survey to get on the priority list for 1A second dose vaccines when appointments are available. These will be administered at Maricopa
