Appointment Availability Update
Here is the latest information on vaccination appointments as of Thursday, 1/14 at 5 p.m.
Maricopa County sites
- Grand Canyon University will operate an appointment-based walk-up site (close to public transit, without need for a car) on their campus in central Phoenix. Maricopa County is supplying vaccine doses for this site. The goal is to provide up to 500 appointments per day. Learn about partnership (VIDEO) >
- Special vaccination events are being planned for school staff and law enforcement staff eligible in Phase 1B. This will help offset the large demand for appointments at the public vaccination sites being offered.
- Three of our existing Maricopa County PODs (regional vaccination sites) are booked through the end of January. However, our Banner Northwest and Central POD locations do have limited availability for appointments for Phase 1A individuals and adults age 75 and older. Check appointment availability >
- Public Health is working to partner with more local pharmacies to supply vaccine to older adults, as soon as more supply becomes available. Appointments are currently limited and sign-up sites are operated by the individual pharmacies, not Public Health. Search for appointments >
State-operated sites
The Arizona Department of Health Services announced today that its 24/7 State Farm POD location is booked with appointments through the end of January. According to ADHS:
- Beginning in February, the State Farm Stadium site will begin offering second dose appointments in addition to the site’s current capacity for first doses.
- A second state-run vaccination site will open on Monday, February 1, at Phoenix Municipal Stadium.
- Scheduling for appointments (openings start February 1) at these locations will open on Tuesday, January 19, at 9 a.m. on the ADHS Vaccine Registration website at azdhs.gov.
