When Will It Be My Turn?
There is no sign-up or pre-screen available for phases beyond 1A. More information about vaccine eligibility and the vaccine distribution process for populations prioritized in Phases 1B and 1C will be shared as soon as it becomes available. See potential phased distribution plans here.

How Will My Body React to the Vaccine?
According to clinical trial data reviewed by the FDA, the most commonly-reported side effects, which typically lasted one to two days, were pain at the injection site, tiredness, headache, muscle pain, chills, joint pain, and fever. More people experienced these side effects after the second dose than after the first dose, so it is important for vaccination providers and recipients to expect that there may be some side effects after either dose, but even more so after the second dose.

7-Day Case Average
There are several metrics we can watch to get a sense of how much the virus is circulating in our community. One is the 7-day case average, which tells us an average of how many new cases have been reported daily for the previous seven days. This average is helpful for getting a better sense of trends. Here's how the 7-day case average has changed over the past month:
December 18: 3,441 cases/day
November 18: 2,051 cases/day
This surge is putting strain on our hospital systems and other settings like schools offering in-person learning. Please do what you can to help:
-
ALWAYS - Stay home when you are sick
-
ALWAYS – Stay home as much as possible when a household member has tested positive for COVID-19 except to get essential medical care, prescriptions, and food
-
ALWAYS - Keep at least six feet of distance from others when out in public
-
ALWAYS - Wear a mask or cloth face covering when going out in public
-
WHEN POSSIBLE - Limit contact with those outside of your household, especially if you are in a high-risk group
-
WHEN POSSIBLE - Avoid being in any setting with more than 10 people
-
FREQUENTLY - Wash hands with soap and water, and use alcohol-based hand sanitizer if unable to wash hands

Airline Travel
Airline travel, especially around the holidays, comes with risks. Even outside of the plane cabin itself, you may encounter other areas where its harder to social distance such as airport security and gating areas. Masks are required at Sky Harbor International Airport, but you may encounter inconsistent mask wearing during your travels.
|
Here are some precautions to take if you plan to fly:
- Check airlines and airports for their policies and procedures about COVID-19.
- Check restrictions at your destination.
- Bring hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes.
- Consider what you would do if you became ill while you are away.
- Check airline policies on the COVID-19 safety precautions they have put in place.
- Visit CDC's travel website for more information.
