Letter to Legislative Leadership Calling for Body-Worn Cameras
This week, Maricopa County Attorney Allister Adel sent out a letter to Arizona Legislative Leadership and Governor Doug Ducey calling for body-worn cameras on all uniformed law enforcement in the field in Arizona.

Report Animal Abuse to Law Enforcement
Even though its not frequently talked about, animal abuse happens everywhere in Maricopa County. Reporting animal abuse to law enforcement is an important first step in helping break this cycle and begin the process of criminal prosecution. Help your community by reporting any instance or suspicion of abuse to your local law enforcement or the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office at 602-876-1011. If you believe an animal is in immediate danger, don’t hesitate to call 911.

Scam Corner: Beware of Package Delivery Scams
 A scam trend has been making the rounds in the valley and this time it's targeting your cell phone. Scammers are sending realistic text messages pretending to be delivery companies such as UPS and FedEx encouraging you to click on their link. If you receive a text message like the one above block the number and don't click on the link.

Teen Suicide Awareness and Prevention
Suicide among young adults ages 15 to 24 has become the second-leading cause of death in the United States according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office wants to help raise awareness by sharing suicide prevention information.
