New Dashboard Provides Transparency of Prosecutions in Maricopa County

The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office has launched a new data dashboard to provide transparency of prosecutions in Maricopa County. Currently the dashboard shows case information for calendar years 2017, 2018, 2019, and is updated every seven days so information stays currently. The dashboard includes data regarding cases that were referred to the office by law enforcement, how MCAO handled the case, types of offenses, race and gender as stated by law enforcement, and data related to gang involvement.

County Attorney's Office to Save Tax Payers $750,000 by Handling Uncontested Adoptions In-House

As stated under Arizona Law, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office will once again manage uncontested adoptions at no cost to county residents. No contest adoptions include where the natural parents have agreed to the adoption. These include adoptions by step-parents or other relatives, agency placed children adoptions and foreign adoptions among others. More info about this great program »

County Attorney Announces Creation of Prosecution Integrity Program

Last week, County Attorney Adel announced an organizational change that will effectively address and streamline the process to handle claims of actual innocence, potential inappropriate police conduct, and other claims of prosecutorial unfairness in handling cases. Application For Citizen Input to Review Officer Involved Shootings and In-Custody Deaths

The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office is seeking qualified candidates to serve as volunteer consultants on the agency’s Critical Incident Review Team. The effort to have non-MCAO employees serve on the Critical Incident Review Team will provide additional community input in the review of public safety employees involved in officer-involved shootings or in-custody deaths, submitted to MCAO by law enforcement.
