Growing Number of Hospitalizations For COVID-19
Maricopa County is seeing more positive COVID-19 cases, a greater percentage of tests coming back positive, and an increase in the total number of hospitalizations related to the virus. These trends mean it’s important for everyone to take precautions to stop the spread.
The less time you spend in close proximity to others, the less likely you will be exposed to the virus. Public Health recommends the following:
Keep at least six feet of distance between yourself and others whenever possible
If you cannot maintain distance outside your home, wear a cloth face mask
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth
Use hand sanitizer or wash your hands after leaving public places
People who are at higher risk of severe illness from COVID-19, like those age 65 and over and those with chronic medical conditions, should avoid being around others outside their household as much as possible.
