CLERK OF THE COURT REMINDS PUBLIC OF AVAILABLE FILING OPTIONS

PHOENIX, Ariz., April 23, 2020 -- Although demand for services at the Clerk of the Superior Court in Maricopa County has tapered slightly since Governor Ducey issued the “Stay Home, Stay Healthy, Stay Connected” order, there has been an increase in traffic in some facilities, particularly at the file counter located within the Central Court Building in downtown Phoenix. In order to ensure proper physical distancing, the Clerk’s Office would like to remind the public to consider remote filing options (such as by mail, depository box or eFile) when allowable. Those who are interested in available remote filing options can learn more by visiting our website.

However, in the event that remote filing is not an option and in-person filing is required or necessary, the Clerk’s Offices at the Northeast facility, Northwest facility and Central Court Building remain open during normal business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday to accept filings in-person. The Southeast facility, while closed currently, will re-open to the public on Monday, April 27, 2020.

In-Person Filing Locations

Northwest Facility 14264 W. Tierra Buena Lane Surprise, AZ 85374

Northeast Facility 18380 N. 40th St., Suite 120 Phoenix, AZ 85032

Downtown Central Court Building 201 W. Jefferson St. Phoenix, AZ 85003

The Clerk's Office strongly encourages individuals who determine that in-person filling is necessary or required to ensure they arrive at the file counters as early in the day as possible, as lines may form and access to the counters may be limited based upon current physical distancing requirements.

The Clerk's Office is consistently monitoring information provided by Maricopa County Department of Public Health and the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) in regard to the COVID-19 public health emergency. Out of an abundance of caution, our office is encouraging the public to file documents remotely in order to protect the well-being of our staff and citizens.
