A lot of people are asking about recovery rates for COVID-19; that is, how many people who get the virus survive and return to normal. Maricopa County Public Health does track the total number of positive cases based on laboratory-confirmed test results, and calculates the percentage hospitalized (19.3% currently), and deaths as a percentage of total cases (2.3% currently). However, these percentages are higher than the true percentages due to the current limit on testing and because some people with COVID-19 have mild symptoms and do not ever get tested. That’s why calculating a true recovery rate is not possible at this point. Watch the Video Here >
